In Valkyrie Bestiary Book 6 (Ghouls Don't Scamper), Kyra visits her first cage fight. She finds it very entertaining. Imagine the lights, the fans…the battles to the death…well, you get the idea. Now you can join the fun! Starting August 25, I’ll be hosting Valkyrie cage fights over on the VB Discussion Group on Facebook. We’ll be pitting 32 creature/character contestants, in 3 divisions against each other, and you decide the winner of each bout. Winners will go onto to fight in the next round until we decide the Supreme Valkyrie Beast in each division. 

When we finally name the Supreme Valkyrie Beast, we’ll throw a party. It will be a great excuse to give away some books and other prizes. 

Heavy Weight Division: This includes 22 contenders. Dragons, vampires, rock trolls and other scary and powerful beings will face off, but there can be only 1 Supreme Valkyrie Beast!

Light Weight Division: This division may include smaller creatures, but that doesn't mean they don't pack a wallop in their magic or trickery. Here you'll find 8 contenders such as brownies, conies, pookas, bodachs among other Inbetween denizens. The last one standing wins the title of Master of the Inbetween.

Adorable Weight Division: The Inbetween has many scary creatures, but it also has a few that just make you want to say “Awwww!” In this division 8 contenders will determine the Ultimate Inbetween Cutie-Patootie too.

I was going to leave this fight for last, but since Unicorns Don’t Cry (VB Book 8) will be out next week, I thought (**cough, cough**) this would be a good time for this emotionally devastating match-up. Who would win in a battle between Kyra and Mason? This is a tough fight on many levels. For argument’s sake, let’s make it between Kyra and Mason from book 6-7, when they’ve both had time to discover their powers.
